Kingstonian's Ryman Premier Division wannabes will know within the next 24 hours if they are to be part of boss Tommy Williams plans for next term.
Goals from Peter Dean and Ryan Moss gave Ks a 2-0 friendly win at Ryman Division South South Park on Tuesday in a game that saw appearances from Adam Thompson, winger Charlie Knight and Max Etheridge.
Williams has Saturday's trip to Farnborough, the midweek Ryman League charity shield clash with Hampton & Richmond Borough and a visit to near neighbours Corinthian Casuals to firm up his thoughts.
Experienced: Adam Thompson plays in a position where there is good strength in depth at Ks
But he has said he is likely to make some key decisions before the final run-in to the opening league clash of the campaign at Harlow Town.
"It was a good win and a good exercise that gave us the opportunity to have a closer look at one or two options," said Williams.
"Charlie Knight, who used to be at Ks, got a start and we had a good look at Max Etheridge too.
"We have got some tough decisions to make over the next 24 hours. We won 2-0 without Pelayo Pico Gomez, Bradley Hudson-Odoi, George Wells, Joe Turner or Tom Derry even in the squad.
"We have to cut our cloth accordingly in terms of the budget and I will be speaking to one or two players to see what we can work out."
"They will know where they stand very soon."
