Kingstonian boss Tommy Williams has confirmed former Chesterfield midfielder Michael Onovwigun will be available for Saturday's FA Cup first qualifying round trip to VCD Athletic.
The 20-year-old, who made four appearances in two seasons as a professional with the Spirites before his release in the summer, penned a move to Kingsmeadow at the weekend.
The paperwork was not complete in time for Onovwigun to appear in Ks' back-to-back bank holiday weekend wins over Staines Town and Met Police.
Surplus to requirements: Charlie Knight has left Kingstonian
"Michael is a six foot three inch midfielder who started his career in the Brentford development squad," he said.
"We did not get the deal done in time for the weekend, but he is available to us now.
"Travelling away in the FA Cup is always going to be tough and we will have to work hard to make sure we come away from there being in the next round.
"I'd love a cup run."
Williams waved goodbye to Charlie Knight, Jake Nicholson and Hampton & Richmond Borough loanee Greg Akpele at the weekend, while Shelton Gooden has joined Chertsey Town on dual registration terms.

Former Walton Casuals man Youssef Bamba, cup-tied at the weekend having already appeared in the competition for Guildford City made his debut off the bench in Tuesday's 2-1 win over Met Police - crossing for Ryan Moss' equaliser.
And ex-Wingate & Finchley midfielder Ola Sogbanmu made his first starts in a profitable weekend that also saw two goals each for strikers Moss and Pelayo Pico Gomez.
"Ola has struggled with an ankle injury most of pre-season, but has shown a great attitude and is willing to give everything to the shirt," said the manager.
Not good enough: Jake Nicholson has not been able to make the step up from Ryman Division South Walton Casuals
"Youssef is an ex-AFC Wimbledon youngster who has excellent pace and is someone who can stretch defences - like he did on Monday."
Williams added: "I said I wasn't going to wait 10 or 15 games to make changes.
"We have had a welcome two wins and there are signs Ryan and Pelayo are becoming a bit of partnership, but there is a lot of work to do because we are not where we need to be.
"We are working all the time to get the best out of everybody.
"There were signs over the weekend that we are getting better. The honesty, work rate and commitment needed for this league was what we are looking for.
"Over 46 games in the Ryman Premier Division, you have to have the right work ethic as a group or you end up falling short.
"We now have characters who are prepared to give everything for the cause."
