England C boss Paul Fairclough was among the scouts casting an eye over Hampton & Richmond Borough striker Jamal Lowe at St Albans on Saturday – and he was not left disappointed.
The former Barnet youngster scored a fine individual effort – to go with a Nicke Kabamba brace and one from full back Michael Kamara – as the Beavers landed a 4-2 National League South win.
Up for it: Hampton's Nicke Kabamba has carried on where he left off last term
Boss Alan Dowson expects Lowe – who has eight goals in nine league games so far this season – and close pal Kabamba to be snapped up in the next transfer window.
Both players are under the age of 24 and as such would attract compensation payments to the Beveree coffers at the very least.
Lowe scored Hampton’s goal in a 1-1 draw at Gosport on Tuesday and they host Bath City tomorrow.
