Carshalton Athletic have already began shaping their squad for next season's assault on the Bostik South, writes James Barrett-Sterling.
The club topped the Bostik South division with an impressive 102 points by the end of April but, while the playing squad now enjoy a well-deserved break, the hard work continues behind the scenes at Colston Avenue.
And the Robins have recently announced their first signings secured for next season as both Ricky Korboa and Ola Sogbanmu have committed their talents.
Exciting attacker and academy product Korboa, 21, endured a frustrating season as injury limited his time on the pitch but he still chipped in with six goals, including the winner against Horsham in December, and six assists.
"Carshalton has been very good to me and looked after me whenever I have needed help. I hope to play a big part in the team next season and help the club do well in the Bostik Premier," said Korboa.
The versatile Sogbanmu, whom rejoined Carshalton last summer for a second spell, was an influential part of the Robins' promotion charge as he finished the season with 11 goals.
Seven of those strikes came during the last month of the season and included the only goal away at eventual play-off winners Walton Casuals and a brace during the thrilling 4-3 home win against Whyteleafe.
"The club has big ambitions for next season and I've always enjoyed my time here, so I'm pleased to remain a part of the plan," said the 26 year old whom can play in defence, midfield and attack.
The fixtures for next season's Bostik Premier division will be announced by mid-July according to the league's official website.
