Kingstonian striker Bobby Traynor thinks the fact that Ks have gone from promotion favourites to play-off hopefuls since Christmas can work in their favour.

Traynor scored his third goal in two games in the 3-0 win over Dulwich Hamlet to help lift his side back in to the top five despite a run of just 10 points from the past 10 games.

And the 24-year-old reckons Ks still have their destiny in their own hands.

"People keep writing us off, but there are still 13 games to go, with eight of those at home," he said.

"The fact no one expects us to make it can work in our favour, because it takes the pressure off.

"We haven't scored enough and the facts tell us that, but it is not just the forwards, the whole team hasn't found the net regularly.

"You can't put your finger on where things have gone wrong, because we were flying at the start of the season with basically the same squad.

"Alan Dowson did need to shake things up. He is a top manager at this level. I have played under him for a long time and he has got to do what he thinks is right.

"We are still in the mix. It is time to stop talking about it and start doing it."
