Tooting & Mitcham boss Billy Smith has urged his side to show more composure as the Ryman Division One South title race hots up.
The Terrors trailed leaders Dover Athletic by four points prior to the Kent side's midweek fixture at Molesey.
But with Dover still to visit Imperial Fields, Smith insists all is still to play for.
He said: "The higher up the league you get, the more scared you get of making mistakes.
"There is a lot of anxiety and the condition of the pitches do not really help us.
"Our passing is not good at the moment. The players are all good players but they just need to relax a bit."
Tooting kept up the pressure with a 3-1 home win over struggling Whitstable Town on Saturday thanks to goals from Jason Pinnock (penalty), Ben Abbey and Ronnie Green.
Smith added: "We did not really play well, to be honest.
"The pitch did not allow us to play and we struggled to get any rhythm going.
"The long ball game does not really suit us and we need to keep to our passing game.
"In the end it was a comfortable win, but I thought in the second half they were probably the better side."
Play-off chasing Sittingbourne visit on Saturday for another crunch clash.
