Hampton & Richmond Borough's 3-0 defeat to Braintree Town on Tuesday night ranks among their worst this season, according to Rob Paris.
The 29-year-old missed the midweek clash as he was suffering the after-effects of his transatlantic trip for Anguilla's World Cup qualifying campaign.
Alan Devonshire's side have failed to win a game at the Iron in four attempts but Paris, who watched from the sidelines, believes it would be a different story had the fixture been played on a Saturday.
"It was frustrating to watch because it was probably the worst performance we have put in this season," he said.
"Every year we go there, it always seems to be a midweek, which means we often get there less than 45 minutes before kick-off because of traffic.
"It is becoming our bogey ground but it would be interesting to see the result if we played at a weekend. There would be no excuses then."
