Sutton Schools Borough U11s had the final word with the winning goal in the last minute of this seven goal thriller against top of the table Newbury on Saturday.

With both teams unbeaten in the League, this heavyweight clash lived up to all its promise as the visitors took a shock lead in the first two minutes. Stung into action, Sutton equalised through Jason Bloor and then laid siege to the Newbury goal but saw a number of chances go begging before the away team broke away to take the lead just before half time.

Again Sutton responded with a double blow as Lewis Bagshaw's superb cross was steered in by Aaron Phillip and minutes later, Bagshaw's corner was headed in by Noor Husin. But Newbury showed just why they have been so successful this season and equalised to maintain the see-saw nature of the contest.

In a dramatic last minute, after an inspired run down the right Josh Double stood the ball up for man-of-the-match Jason Bloor who was hovering at the far post to head in the winning goal and send Sutton up to second place - a point behind Newbury with two games in hand.
