Epsom & Ewell produced a season-best performance as they claimed a deserved point with a 1-1 draw at runaway leaders Merstham.
Epsom's troubles appeared to be mounting when first choice keeper Paul Borg was held up in traffic, leaving manager Lyndon Buckwell with little choice but to stick replacement Neil Harrowing between the sticks.
But Harrowing produced a stunning display, keeping Merstham at bay with a string of outstanding saves. And despite falling behind, Carl Hughes struck a stunning second-half equaliser to earn Epsom an unexpected point.
The stalemate was Epsom's 12th draw of the season, and no doubt they will be looking to convert draws to wins as they bid to climb the table.
Next up for Epsom is Saturday's visit of struggling Cobham.
