All the fun of the fair is coming to the Beveree this Sunday as the club hosts it’s first Community Fun Day, and Hampton & Richmond Borough are encouraging everyone to come down and have a great day.
The Station Road ground will be packed will all manor of stalls and activities from 10am through to 7pm. Entry prices are £1 for Adults whilst Kids go free.
West Ham legends Tony Gale and Tony Cottee will be attending before flying out to China with the Hammers for their pre-season tour, and will be casting their eyes over the start of the inaugural Hampton Soccer Sixes as 16 teams compete in a round robin tournament sponsored by Speedy Hire and Decorative Rooms. Each of the teams will also be bolstered with a member from Hampton’s First Team Squad.
Around the ground visitors will be able to participate in a number of raffles, tombola’s and their will be an auction running throughout the day. For the youngsters their will be face painting, a keepie-uppie contest, beat the keeper and a wet the wally stall. There will also be a temporary tattooist and a healthy and beauty stall.
Representatives from three local charities, The Shooting Start Trust, African Revival and The Greenwood Centre will be available to let visitors know about the great work they are doing in the community and further afield.
To keep everyone refreshed and fed for the day Hammond’s Bar will be open and there will also be a BBQ, Candy Floss and Ice Cream Van. Both the local fire and police will be in attendance for part of the day with police cars and fire engines to entertain both young and old.
In Hammond’s there will be live music from a selection of local bands playing through the course of the day.
In addition youngsters should mention which school they are from when the come in to the ground and at the end of the Fun Day the school with the most visitors will win a coaching session from Hampton footballers and some club footballs for their teams.
Gates open at 10am, and the Soccer Sixes Tournament starts from 11am.
