Kingstonian boss Alan Dowson says there will be no rest for any of his squad - even if they secure a play-off place ahead of schedule.
Ks cruised to a 2-0 triumph over AFC Hornchurch on Saturday to leave them comfortably set for a Ryman League Premier Division top five finish with seven games remaining.
The Kingsmeadow chief reckons his men, who face in-form Avelely at the weekend, need just nine more points to be certain of a play-off spot.
Kingstonian are one of only a few teams not to be enduring a fixture backlog during the run-in, which leaves Dowson confident his players have plenty of time between games to put their feet up.
And the former Walton & Hersham boss insists that suits him down to the ground as Ks look to stretch their five match unbeaten run to the end of the season and beyond.
“I wouldn’t swap the position we are in for anyone in this league, but the truth is there is still work to be done,” he said.
“This league is so tight anyone in the top ten will still be thinking about promotion and anyone in the bottom ten will have concerns over relegation.
“Everyone has something to play for, which will make our run-in quite difficult, but we are not in a bad place.
“We need three more wins and the quicker they come is all the better for us.
“We’ll play things by ear with regards to the squad. The truth is some players - like Bobby Traynor - take a couple of games to get back up to speed if they have a rest.
“There is no point worrying about players getting injured because they can pick up knocks in training or on their way to work. We haven’t got it as busy as other people, so there is plenty of time away from games to rest.”
Midfielder Simon Huckle scored the first at the weekend before an own goal from Elliot Styles doubled Kingstonian’s advantage as Max Hustwick completed another 90 minutes having been rushed back to face Ashford Town last week.
“Having Max come through that game is a major plus for us,” he added.
“With Lee Hall back from suspension as well, we have a couple more options in the tank when we need them.
“Aveley are the form team at the minute, so we will need all hands on deck to get a result.”
Kingstonian’s next three games: Mar 27 Aveley (a), 30 Waltham Abbey (a), Apr 3 Sutton Utd (h).
