A last-gasp winner from supersub Dean Lodge crowned an incredible fightback from Kingstonian who keep well on track for a promotion play-off berth.
Aveley are making a late bid for the play-offs and at the beginning of the second-half enjoyed a commanding and well deserved 3-1 lead.
But the Ks were thrown a lifeline when Millers skipper Ryan Doyle gave away a soft penalty which Mr Cool Bobby Traynor converted.
Then with nine minutes to go a Lodge corner led to the equalizer from danger man Traynor.
The Ks pressure was intense but it looked like the home side would hang on for a point until Lodge intervened, turning home a Bashiru Alimi drive in the second minute of additional time, which resulted in the widest of grins across the face of Ks chairman Mark Anderson.
Ks travel again to relegation-threatened Waltham Abbey next Tuesday evening March 30th (7.45pm k.o.) for more vital play-off action.
The first half was predictable as both sides traded attacks, a definite "slow burner".
Ks could have set the game alight though on just three minutes when skipper Adam Thompson's low cross from the right was spilled nervously by keeper Ollie Morris-Sanders eventually rolling out to Simon Huckle but he drove wide of the far post.
Aveley defender Nicky Symons then whacked the ball over from the edge of the Ks box.
Christian Jolley took off a long run into the home box but Doyle stopped him in his tracks.
An Alimi cross from the left found Huckle on the near post but he was immediately blocked.
On 22 minutes, Adam Bailey-Dennis was booked for upending Ks striker Carl Wilson-Denis right on the edge of the Millers box.
Matt Gray rolled the ball to Alimi but he drove the ball into the pack.
The Millers went close when striker Martin Tuohy struck the ball over from six yards.
Then winger Ryan Edgar way out on the right released a powerful acute-angled drive that Rob Tolfrey did well to push out at full-stretch.
After 30 minutes, the Millers took the lead when a long and high cross from Doyle from way out on the right sailed alarmingly through the Ks box where up popped winger STEVE BUTTERWORTH on the far post to lash the ball home past Tolfrey.
Thompson was clearly unhappy at his side's defending especially minutes later when he battled to block striker Sherwin Stanley close in.
Ks then had a good spell until the break.
An Alimi cross saw Jolley head straight at Morris-Sanders.
Then with a minute to the break Wilson-Denis set up Jolley on the edge of the home box but he fired straight at Morris-Sanders on his line.
In the first minute of additional time, Jolley took off down the left and dangerously around the back of the Millers backline. He threaded a ball through to Alimi who smacked the ball against the inside of the far post where CARL WILSON-DENIS was on hand to poach the equaliser.
The second half started with a through ball from Alimi for Traynor but Morris-Sanders raced to the edge of his box to collect.
Then Millers took the game by the scruff of the neck.
On 51 minutes a through ball from the busy Butterworth set up striker SHERWIN STANLEY on the edge of the Ks box where he coolly chipped Tolfrey for a goal of real quality.
Five minutes later on the back of some serious Millers pressure Symons, on the edge of the Ks box, headed the ball into the Ks goalmouth where RYAN EDGAR nodded past a stranded Tolfrey.
Ks set about a fightback almost immediately.
The busy Wilson-Denis set up Jolley deep in the home box but he blasted over.
On the hour the Ks management team of Alan Dowson, Mark Hams and Martin Tyler threw on Dean Lodge which proved to be an inspired substitution.
Immediately, Lodge sent in a cross into the Millers box but it was comfortable for Morris-Sanders.
On 74 minutes, the influential Doyle inexplicably handled the ball deep in his own box.
Upstepped BOBBY TRAYNOR and swept the spotkick into the right-hand corner wrong-footing Morris-Sanders.
On 81 minutes, a Lodge corner from the left was turned back in in by a delicate overhead kick from Wilson-Denis on the far post where a BOBBY TRAYNOR precision header from close range was beyond a stranded Morris-Sanders on his line.
Mo Harkin sent in a free-kick deep into the home box where Thompson headed wide. Back came the home side, a run from Edgar saw him slice a drive wide fom the edge of the Ks box.
Then Stanley darted along the edge of the Ks box but drove the ball over.
Then the pacy Butterworth took off down the left and went around the Ks backline but the ball was blocked on the near post.
With two minutes remaining a powerful drive from Edgar was straight at Tolfrey on his line. The game went into addiitional time, Lodge took off down the left into the Millers box, he unselfishly found Harkin who passed to Wilson-Denis but his shot was blocked.
Then the Ks' late late winner all started with a Thompson throw way out on the right which released the buoyant Wilson-Denis.
Alimi let loose a drive from outside the home box, DEAN LODGE stuck out a nonchalant backheel and made contact, and it wickedly diverted the ball past a stranded Morris-Sanders.
