Football pundit Garth Crooks is joining school pupils from Whitgift Independent Boys School in their training and preparation for the Danone Nations Cup next week.
The former Tottenham Hotspur striker will talk about his experiences as a professional footballer and tell the children about his time in South Africa as a member of the BBC’s broadcasting team for the World Cup last summer.
The boys are heading off for the world finals of the Danone Nations Cup in Johannesburg from September 30 to October 3.
The world final of the Danone Nations Cup is the culmination of over six months of national qualifying tournaments for U12s in 40 countries from five continents.
Whitgift Independent Boys School will be representing the UK as the winners of the 2010 ESFA Danone Nations Cup, which culminated in an impressive Final at Stamford Bridge in May.
