High Footman Flyers: The winners of the Mays Cup
Wimbledon-based Footman Flyers won the Morden Little League Mays Cup on penalties after the final against Switchgear Flashes was deadlocked at 3-3 at the end of normal time.
Michael Daly was the hero of the day converting a sudden death spot kick when after five penalties each could not separate the sides.
Manager Robert Harwood said: ”I have to hand it to the team as we had only 11 players.
"We had no substitutes, we had no full time goal keeper and the boys just did not give up."
The team is: Jack Archer, Aaron Sisarello, Louis Harwood, Darrian Lee, Batuhan Abacioglu, Callum Archer, Jason Bay, Frazier Hookins, Lewis Bradfield, Michael Daly, Kieran McGee and William Young.
