Sutton Schools Borough U11s' attempt to maintain their 100 per cent league record came unstuck at Gosport on Saturday as the home team salvaged a draw in injury time.
Sutton started well, having all the early chances and took the lead when Conal O'Leary's corner found its way into the back of the net. Sutton then had the chances to take complete control including a Dominic Shaw shot that skimmed the crossbar but gradually Gosport began to find their feet, defending strongly and threatening on the break.
In the second half, Sutton continued to have most of the play but lacked a cutting edge and gave the ball away too much.
A free-kick in injury time was not dealt with and Gosport grabbed an unlikely equaliser to give them only their second point in the league.
South West Trains player of the match with and outstanding display as Sutton's best defender and attacker was Conal O'Leary.
