Chessington & Hook United 0 Horley Town 2

From the kick-off, Chessington showed they would attack, Neil Wicks & Darren Smith both failing to get on the end of the through ball on the right, then Wicks gets in a great cross from the right, Dan Moorhouse fails to get his header on target.

Paul West was spoken to by the referee for a vocal opinion about a foul given, but he gets his head in first to the cross from the resulting free-kick, heading away for a corner.

Then West again, goes forward, plays 1-2 with Wicks, but fouled on 25 yards, Wick's free kick sails over.

Leroy Brownford then exchanged passes with Smith, Brownford just missing out on the return just in front of goal.

The referee was having a 'mare of a game, being assessed, it seems referees try too hard not to make a mistake, but the opposite always prevails!

He stops the game to remove Mark Daniels's jumper from the goal.

Matt Bennett does well at the near post after Horley Get into the penalty box, then Horley's No.10 should score, shooting over when he could have brought the ball down.

We attack & Wicks is fouled, he takes the free-kick, again well overfrom 20 yards. Smith's mistake lets in the centre forward but his shot went wide.

West attacked down the left, his ball just fails to reach Broenford, then they attack with West out of position on the right, great cross reaches the far post, the ball is headed back into the penalty box, Daniels saves with his feet form close range shot.

The big No.10 should do better as he finds himself free at the far post again. Richard Webber on for Brownford, West goes right back.

Disaster struck on the hour, as Moorhouse goes up in midfield for a header, he feels he was impeded, but nothing can excuse his action as he stamps on the player with the Referee in full view, proceeding to send of the tall forward for this action!

Down to ten men, Wicks is substituted for Phil Page, & before we can organise, they scor with a well worked goal, the lively right winger getting in a deep cross that found Horley's No.8 at the back post, his low drive goes in off Daniels body.

West again gets forward to put Page away on the right, his cross finds Webber, he drills in a low shot, deflected, the ball comes back to Webber, he shoots goalbound, the 'keeper tips the ball away for a corner. Gavin Quintyne on for Dan Heath.

We attack again, Smith's shot deflected away for Horley to attack down the right, again the Ginger right winger giving Webber a hard time, he gets in another good cross to the No.10, his touch falls to the No.9 whose low drive makes it 2-0 for the visitors on 73 minutes.

It was all over for Chessington's ten men now,as Smith & Andy Heath get booked, more frustrated cautions than any thing else, but they had one more chance, the substitute with a great header that Bennetts deflection almost catching out Daniels who tipped the ball onto the crossbar.

The highlight for the game was in the dying seconds as the referee, in full flow, looked like he was 'shot' by a sniper, proceeding to collapse in a heap, blaming the notorious Chalky Lane pitch for making us all laugh!
