Richard Brady is not one to moan about injuries, but even he is getting fed up with Leatherhead players dropping like flies, writes Graham Moody.
Billy Manners and Jerry Nnamani are the latest victims and they missed Tuesday’s 2-2 draw with Wingate & Finchley.
“I am not one to talk about injuries as I always say you are only as strong as your bench,” said manager Brady.
“But we have had so many influential players out this season and when one comes back, another goes again.
“It does have a little knock on confidence and you start to think ‘how is this happening?’ “But you just have to keep working with the players you have got available.”
Harry Ottaway and Kev Terry scored twice for Leatherhead for Tuesday.
The result meant the Tanners took just one point from three home games in seven days after losing to Concord Rangers, the opponents this Saturday, 3-1 last Wednesday and losing 1-0 to Hendon on Saturday.
“I think playing Wednesday, Saturday and Tuesday meant we were heavy legged.
“In the end, every point is going too valuable but it is winning games that will prove the difference and that’s the difficulty for us at the moment.”
