Battersea Ironsides 10, Kingston 46 Victory over a struggling Battersea side gave Kingston five wins on the bounce and moved them up to second in the league table.
The game was a scrappy affair. Ironsides tactics to spoil Kingston's quick ball throughout the game did work to a degree, but it was never enough to stop Kingston winning the game comfortably. Gary Sherriff opened the scoring for Kingston, but Ironsides came back with a try of their own spun wide from a lineout. Sherriff then delivered the try of the game, zigzagging through the entire Ironsides' defence to score under the posts. All of Kingston's remaining tries came in the second half - Charlie Symonds, Tom Evans, Richard Marsden-King and Russ Fabris. Michael Walsh kicked one penalty and Ross Turner four conversions to round off a good afternoon for the Surrey side.
Kingston 2ndXV beat Reigate 2ndXV 42-0 in their Merit league clash, whilst the Kingston3rdXV lost 71-0 to O'Paulines 5thXV in a one sided affair.
