This energetic Cherry Red Combined Counties Division 1 game was well contested with both sides creating chances but neither could trouble the opposing keepers.

Park had most of the possession but could not convert this into goals. On 40 minutes Lee Farley found himself with only the keeper to beat, his first attempt the keeper saved and his follow up effort was cleared off the line by a defender.

In added time a long ball downfield by the visitors keeper over Parks' defenders bounced between Mark Webb and Peter King enabling the onrushing Flaherty to toe end the ball into the home net to give the visitors the lead 0-1 at half time.

After the break Park forced the visitors back and on 50 minutes David Knowlden saw the visitors keeper off his line and lofted the ball just over the crossbar.

On 55 minutes "Jocky" Costelloe replaced Danny Brackstone. On 58 minutes Park attacked down the left and from Mark Callicott's cross Dean Bird headed wide. The game was now all Park as they searched for the equaliser, once again Farley was put in but fired wide of the target on 62 minutes.

On 68 minutes Park pressed forward and Bird fed Callicott who slid in and netted the equaliser. From the restart the visitors attacked and King made a sharp save to prevent another goal. Park continued to press and again the luckless Farley was on hand to fire the ball wide.

On 82 minutes Farley's persistence was rewarded when he headed Carl Cheneys corner fiercely into the net to put Park in front. The visitors tried to rescue the situation but Park's defence held firm.

Park ran out close but worthy winners by 2-1.
