NEC Harlequins make two changes to the team that started against Northampton Saints last Saturday (4th November) for the game versus Newcastle Falcons in the Guinness Premiership at Kingston Park tomorrow night (Friday 10th November), kick-off 7.45pm.
In the back division, Ugo Monye and David Strettle are both back from injury and replace Simon Keogh and Tom Williams on the left and right wing respectively. Monye missed out against Northampton last weekend, while Strettle is back from the knee injury he picked up versus Sale Sharks in the EDF Energy Cup five weeks ago (Saturday 7th October). For the fourth game in a row, the pack is unchanged.
Andrew Mehrtens is amongst the replacements having recovered from a knee injury and is in the squad for the first time since starting against Gloucester back on 9th September. He replaces Craig McMullen, while Luke Sherriff is in for Chris Hala'Ufia and Mel Deane takes over from George Harder.
"It was a huge relief to get our first Premiership win last Saturday and extremely satisfying given the convincing manner in which it was done," said Dean Richards, NEC Harlequins Director of Rugby.
"I felt that if we beat Northampton I'd consider the corner to be turned and I stand by that. You are though only as good as your last game and all thoughts now turn to Newcastle and the challenges we face there. We are going to have to compete in certain areas if the winning run is to continue."
The full team is as follows: 15. Mike Brown 14. David Strettle 13. Gavin Duffy 12. Jordan Turner-Hall 11. Ugo Monye 10. Adrian Jarvis 9. Andy Gomarsall 1. Ceri Jones 2. Tani Fuga 3. Mike Ross 4. Ollie Kohn 5. Nicolas Spanghero 6. Andre Vos 7. Paul Volley (Capt.) 8. Nick Easter Replacements: 16. Jimmy Richards 17. Lorne Ward 18. Jim Evans 19. Luke Sherriff 20. Danny Care 21. Andrew Mehrtens 22. Mel Deane
