Herne Hill Harriers' record books were rewritten last week as two club records at opposite ends of the age spectrum tumbled.
Bern-based 19-year-old Lukas Wieland set a new Swiss and Harriers U20 javelin record of 75.11m to win the Swiss Championship in Lucerne by 11m, days after placing eighth in the European Junior Championship in Rieti.
And, closer to home, Ben Paviour broke the club's M40 record for the 3000m at a meeting in Watford, clocking eight minutes, 46.08 seconds to surpass the time of previous record holder Keith Newton.
Elsewhere, Harriers closed their Rosenheim League campaign at Tooting Bec by finishing second on the night, behind Hercules Wimbledon, and third overall in the summer track and field series.
Individual winners were Caspar Elliot (400m), Rushane Thomas (110m hurdles), Tayo Andrews (long jump), Thomas Ashby (shot) and Gavin Johnson (javelin).
Johnson followed up his midweek success with victory at the Herne Hill open meeting on Saturday, also at Tooting Bec, with a winning mark of 59.33m.
Impressive home winners also included Dwayne Dowding and Jamal Rhoden-Stevens who sprinted to a 100m and 200m double in A and B races respectively, with the pair clocking the identical time of 10.89 in their 100m finals. Michelle Watson won the 100m D race in 12.39.
Other Herne Hill winners were U15 Faysel Nadew (800m), Mike Cummings (1500m), Deron Fagan (3000m), Jonathan Stead (5000m) and Catriona McSorley, another U15 athlete, in the high jump.
Further afield, Robin Sanderson continued his preparation for the multi-stage Transalpine-Run in September by placing an impressive 12th in the Montane Lakeland 50.
Sanderson finished the 50-mile course from Dalemain to Coniston in nine hours, 17 minutes. Phillip Henwood finished further down the field in 14 hours, two minutes.
Four athletes from competed at Derek Crookes U13 inter countries meeting at Kingsmeadow on Sunday with the girls helping Surrey win the girls' match.
Eloise O'Shaunessey won the 800m with a new personal best of 2:23.82, Ore Adamson won the long jump with 4.69m, Alex Brown was second in the A string 1500m in 4.53.46 and Kameron Nimoh was second in the B string boys' 100m.
