Ashtead's Ben Draper has reached the quarter-finals of the U16 boys’ singles tournament at the Nike Junior Tennis Championships.
Draper will now face Finn Bass from Somerset tomorrow (Wednesday) in the quarter-finals after overcoming Calum Macgeoch at Nottingham Tennis Centre after the Scot retired injured.
The Nike Junior Tennis Championships are the highest level competition for all juniors and the pinnacle of the summer domestic calendar.
The tournament features more than 250 players across four age groups and is a showcase for British tennis and the best junior talent in the country.
Having run for more than 100 years, the tournament has an illustrious line of past winners including Andy Murray, Heather Watson, Tim Henman, Elena Baltacha, and Anne Keothavong.
