Epsom & Ewell, recovering from a 4-0 humbling at Guildford the previous Wednesday, gained a 2-2 draw at Dorking's Meadowbank ground on Saturday, but were disappointed not to pick up all three points, writes Robert Oakes.
With new signing Jordan Ellis replacing the injured Freddie Myers, Epsom started well and took the lead in the 20th minute.
Daniel Ike held off three challenges and found Phillip N'gbale, whose low cross was diverted into his own net by a defender.
Simon Hatton and Dale Marvell were then foiled by keeper Mark Fox, while Peter Solomon had a seemingly good goal disallowed for off-side.
But Dorking equalised after 43 minutes, with former Epsom player Joe Loyza flicking the ball on for Kevin Terry to prod it past keeper Dave Tidy.
The visitors regained the lead on 58 minutes with a shot by Marvell following a move involving Joseph Maye, Ike and N'gbale.
Dorking found another equaliser on 78 minutes when Fox's long goal kick evaded Peter Solomon. This allowed Craig Duffell to loop the ball over Tidy.
Epsom went closest to snatching a late winner, but Marvell brought a reaction save from Fox.
