Tom Onslow-Cole is confident of a Pro-Am class win at the Spa 24 Hours in the Blancpain Endurance Series next month after landing a drive with Leonard Motorsport.
The 28-year old will race alongside Aston Martin Racing works driver Stefan Mücke, team-owner/driver Stuart Leonard and Leonard Motorsport regular Michael Meadows.
Onslow-Cole got the gig after winning an Aston Martin support race at the 24 Hours of Le Mans earlier this month and stands in for Paul Wilson, whose wife is due to give birth on race day.
“When you look at the entry list it’s a ‘who’s who’ of the world’s top GT drivers, but I think together our line-up is one of the strongest,” said Onslow-Cole.
“Obviously, it’s a shame that Paul has to miss out on this race, but, I’m really grateful he chose me to take his place.
“We’ve seen the Vantage GT3 on the podium at Dubai 24 Hours, Daytona 24 Hours and Bathurst 12 Hours already this year, so it has a proven track-record.
“I think we can add to that tally if we have a clean race and stay out of trouble in the hours of darkness.”
