Surbiton hockey club coach Brett Garrard reckons the signing of Scottish international goalkeeper Amy Gibson will be vital to the defence of their domestic double.
Gibson, who is also part of the GB centralised squad, has 76 caps to her name and was part of the Scotland side that featured at the Unibet EuroHockey Championships last week.
The 26-year-old, who was between the sticks in the 2014 Commonwealth Games, joins from Slough.
Garrard said: “We are delighted to welcome Amy to Surbiton. Her international experience can only help us defend both our domestic titles and challenge for Europe.”
Gibson said: “I am excited to be joining Surbiton, having my first experience of playing in the English Premiership.
“I had a great time at Slough last season but I’m looking forward to the challenge and what will hopefully be a successful future at Surbiton.”
