Tom Onslow Cole might have ended his race season outside of the podium, but last Sunday’s Race of Remembrance was about more than winning.
The 24 Hour Series A6 class champion helped his KPM Racing team – featuring Jade Edwards and Lucas Orrock – to a fourth place finish in their Milltek Sport VW Golf at the Angelesey Circuit over the weekend.
The 28-year-old, who won the inaugural eight-hour day/night race last year, has rarely been outside the top three in competitive action this season.
“I race in some fantastic endurance events around the world, but this one is particularly special as it’s for such an amazing cause,” said the New Malden ace.
“Of course, we go to every race looking to win, but this race is about so much more."
The event raised money for Help for Heroes charity Mission Motorsport.
