Hampton School rowing coach Neil Double hopes Dominic Jackson's record breaking exploits can inspire the rest of the school's U19 rowing squad.
Jackson saw his 5,000m indoor rowing best of 16 minutes 43.2 seconds officially recognised as a new U18 lightweight 5000m indoor world best by machine manufacturer Concept 2 this week.

Double, who oversaw the record attempt and got it verified, said. "This is a fantastic individual achievement and shows the solid winter training has paid off for him. I hope this will inspire the rest of the group now and Dom for the future.
"Dominic’s potential has already been recognised by GB Rowing. He was selected to attend the recent GB training camp, having represented GB at the Coupe de la Jeunesse last year."
