Former junior Australia international Naomi Evans marked her Surbiton Ladies debut with a goal to fire the Sugden Road side to the top of the Women’s Hockey League Premier Division on Saturday.
Evans added to a Jo Hunter penalty corner and a Sarah Page effort as head coach Brett Garrard’s girls - who named five colts in their line-up - won 3-0 at the University of Birmingham.
The 24-year-old striker signed for the club in October prior to her arrival in the UK last month, meaning she is eligible to play in the EuroHockey Clubs Champions Cup in May.

Rebecca Middleton - formerly Herbert - played her first game for the club registered in her married name following her marriage to Great Britain captain Barry Middleton.
Meanwhile, Surbiton have confirmed youngster Izzy Petter has been registered for the remainder of the campaign.
Surbiton head to Canterbury this Saturday.
