Teddington Swimming Club’s Sophie Fussell claimed a 14-year-old girls’ 50m and 100m breaststroke double gold at the London Region Age Group Championships at Crystal Palace over the weekend.
Fussell clocked 34.83 seconds to win the shorter event on Saturday, before completing her golden brace 24 hours later with the 100m title in 1:17.51.
Jessica Mayer won 13-year-old girls’ 100m breaststroke silver in 1:20.1, while Yasmine Hamerlaine got 13-year-old girls’ 100m backstroke silver in 1:08.65.
