Middlesex Women host Somerset Women at Teddington Cricket Club on Sunday and ex-Bushy Park Girls CC player and current Middlesex coach Danni Warren could not be more excited.
“With the rising profile of the England Women’s team and over 70 girls playing cricket for us in Bushy Park it’s the perfect opportunity to watch top class cricket on our doorstep,” she said.
It is the first time since Rachel Heyhoe-Flint’s England team beat West Indies in 1979, that such a high profile women’s game has been hosted at Teddington.
The 50-over match starts at 11am.
