Simon Ambrosi, from Striders of Croydon, placed first out of 219 finishers in the weekly parkrun in Lloyd Park on Saturday.
He completed the undulating five-kilometre course in 18 minutes 55 seconds.
Rachel Lindley was the first woman to finish the Cambridge Parkrun, placing 19th overall in 18 minutes 59.
Andrew Aitken was second in the South Norwood Parkrun (18:00), while Tatsuya Okamoto was third in the Riddlesdown Parkrun (17:23).
Steph Upton was the third woman to finish the Riddlesdown Parkrun, placing 26th overall (22:09).
Striders had an impressive total of 75 finishers in the various weekly Parkruns.
In the Logicom Cyprus Half-Marathon, Maria Gabriel ran very well to place second in the W50 age-group, recording a personal best of 1 hour 48 minutes 23 seconds.
Her time was only 73 seconds outside Striders’ W50 club record, set by Lesley Bourke in 2011.
This Sunday (31st) Striders will be promoting the ninth annual Croydon Half-Marathon, starting at 09.15 (British Summer Time) from their headquarters in Sandilands.
