Triathlete Jill Parker of London Tri used the hard frosty ground and perfect weather to set a female record time in the Banstead Woods time trial on Saturday morning.
Parker clocked 18 minutes 21 seconds to finish 20 seconds clear of previous record holder Isabel Brinsden.
Teenager Brinsden, a pupil of Roseberry School for Girls, continued her preparations for next month's English National Cross Country Championships with 18:41, while Stragglers over-45 veteran Phyllis Flynn was third in the women's race (20:18).
Epsom & Ewell Harriers' Phil Sanger recorded a huge personal best of 16.29 to win the event overall.
Pawel Bar of South London Harriers was second for the second consecutive week, with clubmate Chris Phelan, an over-45 veteran, third.
In a battle for the line between two former Banstead Woods winners, Matt Chapman pipped Mark Burtwell for fourth.
In the women's field, Viv Mitchell ran with her daughter Amy, a rising star with South London Harriers, who set a personal best.
Chris Costiff, who also represents SLH as a triathlete, continued her return to form following knee surgery watched by Nigel, her husband and the club tri coach.
Before the start race director Phelan presented Kaye Benjamin with the Sweatshop of Teddington shoe prize.
Apart from running 23 time trials and improving by more than a minute, Kaye is a volunteer coordinator for the event.
There were 116 runners.
