Stragglers' men won the Surrey League Division Two Cross-Country title for the first time ever last weekend to gain promotion back into the top flight.
Stragglers were marginally beaten in the last race of the 2006-07 season and were unlucky to be relegated, but they deservedly bounced straight back at the first attempt.
Lloyd Park in Croydon hosted the final race last weekend with one of the closest contests for many years to make for an exciting finally to the season.
The Stragglers only held a slim lead over second placed Dulwich and third placed Dorking going into the final race.
However, things didn't look good for the Kingston based club as Dorking & Mole Valley athletes claimed four of the top 10 positions, but the Stragglers were not to be outdone and packed well have all 10 scorers in the top 38 places.
Graham Brook once again was the star of the day to wrap up a fine season by finishing 4th to follow his first, second and thirrd placings in the previous fixtures and he also claimed the individual award for his consistent season.
Shaun Ford made his Surrey League debut to finish 11th, with Paul Graham finishing 13th only three seconds behind.
Team captain Roy Reeder was 20th with Ben Osborn in 22nd. Peter Kennedy (24th) and Neil Browning (27th) both used the race as part of their London Marathon build up, with Tyman, Caldecott and Lynch all making their season debuts to assist the team to a fantastic victory on the day.
