Epsom & Ewell's Emily Nelson ran away with individual honours in the final Surrey Ladies' League race in Richmond Park on Saturday, completing a hat-trick of wins.

Nelson raced to a comfortable victory in 20 minutes 50 seconds ahead of Thames Hare & Hounds' Naomi Warner (21:02) and Dulwich Runners' Clare Elms (21:15), who lifted the veterans title.

But it was organising club Ranelagh Harriers who regained the team title with Belgrave Harriers, last year's winners, down in 12th place.

Although Ranelagh took the title for the third time in four years, in the absence of Estelle Damant, top finisher in the previous race, they only managed third on the day.

Herne Hill won the match, led by Karen Ellison (21:58) in seventh, Helen Hadjam (22:33) 12th, veteran Clare Pauzers (22:42) 14th and Carolin Warrington (23:22) 24th.

Anna Scally (22:05) led Rane-lagh home in eighth, with Clare King (22:30) 11th and Marie Synott-Wells (22:45) 15th.

First finisher for 12th-placed Stragglers was veteran Clare Nicholson (22:16) in 10th, with Juliet Cleghorn (22:48) 16th.

Rachel Burbridge (22:57) was f18th, helping Kingston & Polytechnic to retain their top division status.

Belgrave's first runner was Tilly Heaton (23:15) in 21st.

Elinor Caborn (22:36) helped Sutton Runners to win the Division Two match and clinch promotion, finishing second in her race behind Woking's Jo Rodriguez-Downs (22:06).
