Swimmers from Epsom District Swimming Club won nine medals at the Surrey Secondary School Championships held at The American Community School in Cobham, writes Barbie Grierson.
Sixteen girls and six boys from the club, representing eight schools, took part.
Silver medals were won by Katie Garrod of Rosebery (senior individual medley), Katie Grierson of Nonsuch (senior butterfly), Jack Arnold of Ewell Castle (senior backstroke) and Alex Evans of Glyn (senior freestyle).
There were bronze medals for Alex Gray of Beacon School (intermediate breaststroke), Stephanie Barker of Cheam High (intermediate butterfly), Melissa Evans of Rosebery (intermediate butterfly), Danielle Tullett of Freemans (junior frestyle) and Sam Atkinson of The Priory (intermediate freestyle).
Other Epsom swimmers: Emily Anstis (Nonsuch), Diane Anstis, Rebecca Cottrell and Sophie Tidman (Rosebery), Andrew Browning, Kelly and Emma Gray and Hannah and Rachel Parsons (The Beacon), Lucy Archer-Lock and Natasha Hicks (Freemans), Kieran Childs (Glyn) and Andrew Fenwick (Ewell Castle).
