Belgrave Harriers' Philips Idowu was an easy winner in the Norwich Union Indoor Grand Prix mens triple jump event last Saturday at National Indoor Arena, Birmingham.
His first round leap of 17.21m was more than enough to secure victory, while his nearest challenger Slovakian Dimitrij Valukevic finished the competition a distant 62m behind and American Kenta Bell was third.
"Another week, another win, that's the way it should be," said Idowu, 29, the current Commonwealth, UK and European Indoor champion.
"The stuff I've been doing for the last four months is the best I have done.
"I won here around this time last year when I won my very European indoor gold so it was nice to come back to Birmingham and win again.
"It looks like Birmingham is a luck charm for me!"
Also in Birmingham fellow club-mate Samson Oni finished a creditable second behind Olympic champion Stefan Holm in the men's high jump event.
The 26-year-old former Brixton Topcats basketball player is in the GB squad for next month's World Indoors in Seville, Spain and admits preparations are going according to plan.
"Preparations for the worlds have been great. We've been planning for this since September so there is nothing that I've done differently," he said.
"I have been competing back-to-back for the last five weeks so now I'm going to go back to training and try to peak for the world indoors."
