Members of Purley Bury Tennis Club enjoyed a visit from former British tennis star Gregg Rusedski at the weekend, writes Andrew Bloss.
The tennis ace was invited as part of the club’s open day, and didn’t disappoint the 200-strong crowd that attended, handing out coaching sessions and advice to youngsters and adults and leading several tennis-based activities.
The event also raised £500 in aid of the Maria Curie charity through a raffle.
