Sutton Runners claimed seven prizes in the Marathon Tour of Epsom last week.
The tour started on Monday 8th June. This is a series of 5 races over 5 consecutive dates. Race 1 - 8th June 3.44 Miles - Horton Country Park.

After all 5 races, the overall results showed that seven Sutton Runners scooped prizes.
Steve Barber received prize for 3rd overall, Steve Wise the 1st MV50, Tony Moorhouse 3rd MV45, Jim Mundy 1st MV55, Susan Boros 3rd Lady overall, Lynn Hickey 1st LV50 and Patricia Cue 1st LV55.

After a full week of racing some even managed to run in the Banstead Woods 5k Time time on Saturday 13th June. The finishing times were: Martin Giles 18.50 (6th), Greg Bryant 20.53 (26th), Tim McIntyre 21.21 (34th), Tony Moorhouse 21.39 (40th), Mark Aldred 22.22 (47th), Steven Clarke 25.46 (82nd), Claire Ballhatchet 27.27 (102nd), Kaye Benjamin 28.00 (105th), John Daley 29.47 (119th), Patricia Cue 29.50 (120th), Pauline Woodman 30.01 (121st), Sue McIntyre 33.03 (134th) and Therese Panetta 33.56 (139th).
In the Richmond Park Time trial on Saturday James Barber finished in 65th place in a time of 22.52.
Also on Saturday the clubs resident Marathon Man Jim Mundy, not only competed in the full set of races throughout the week he took part in the Farthingstone Marathon finishing in a time of 6.28, this was a slower time than normal as he made an impromptu stop at the beer tent at mile 15, probably celebrating that he was taking part in his 25th Marathon so far in 2009.
Jim has now clocked up 184 marathons overall. He’s aiming for his 200th marathon to take place in the New Forest in September this year.
On Sunday at the North Downs 30k race, Jon Senker finished in 2.34.45 in 45th place.
Also on Sunday at the Bluewater 10k, five members took part. Results were Gill Fry 50.50 (485th), Barry Walden 51.55 (556th), Joe Farrugia 54.47 (758th), Lynn Hickey 56.38 (897th) and Mary Lamont 59.48 (1208th).
