Surrey's Chris Eaton will not be replicating his 2008 Wimbledon heroics this year after crashing out of the qualifying event at the First Round stage.
Denied a wild card by the LTA, Eaton took to the court in Roehampton but produced a subdued performance and was sent packing by France's Stephane Robert 6-4, 6-2.
Eaton, who last year dumped Boris Pashanski in the first round before bowing out to Dmitry Tursonov, has seen his world ranking stall at 317 after failing to kick on since his brush with fame last year.
