Epsom College athletes starred at the Surrey County Athletics Championships at Kingsmeadow Stadium on Saturday.
A record number of college athletes represented Central Surrey at the Championships and six emerged as County champions.
In the senior boys’ competition, Tom Brown took the 200m title and Jite Avwunu won the long jump, while girls’ athletics captain Meghann Murdock won the 1500m in the senior girls’ competition.
In the intermediate girls’ section, Alice Davidson-Richards won the javelin and in the junior boys’ category, Chris Du Toit won the javelin and Ejiro Avwunu won the triple jump.
There were also second places for seven College athletes: Nick Connor (senior boys 110m hurdles); Nick Thomas (senior boys 800m); Harry Bradshaw (senior boys long jump); Paul Clarke (senior boys javelin); Joe Toomey (intermediate boys 1500m); Nick Scales (senior boys javelin); and Mide Ajibade (junior boys triple jump).
Tom Flynn picked up third place in the intermediate boys 100m hurdles and Bradley Smith came third in the intermediate boys 1500m.
