Twickenham hosted Letchworth in the last of the first round league matches and gained a superb two-wicket win.
Having won the toss they put Letchworth into bat. On a fast outfield the visitors put on an impressive score of 173 for 7 wickets from their 45 overs.
Letchworth's top bats were Laura Jackson 31,Vicki Borman 29 and Julie Clarke 25. For Twickenham all five bowlers took a wicket with Tee Hollingsbee taking 2 for 41.
In reply Letchworth took two quick wickets, which lead the way for Charlotte Gallagher to go into bat and who went on to score an impressive 83 from 76 balls which included 12 boundaries.
When Gallagher was dismissed off the bowling of Sarah Ward, the hard work had been done and Twickenham were in a commanding position of having 165 on the board with 9 overs still to go.
However with only two wickets left at this stage, nothing could be left to chance and it took the experience of captain Ann Baker to ensure victory in the 38th over.
For Letchworth Emma Cane took 3 for 36.
Next weeks see Twickenham in a local derby versus fellow Middlesex club Dukesmead at the home ground at Old Actonians.
