Addington Court Golf Centre’s reputation as a place to have high quality golf lessons was boosted recently, when two of its golf coaches were involved in coaching at the BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth – the European Tour’s Flagship event.

Director of golf Paul Oliver and teaching professional Joel Dowland, were approached by a company which provides coaching at European Tour events, because of their reputation as top-class golf coaches.

Paul and Joel subsequently gave free golf lessons to spectators throughout the week of the Championship.

Each free lesson lasted 15 minutes, and took place in giant inflatable golf nets in the tented village at Wentworth. Up to 25 people of all ages and standards were coached by both Paul and Joel each day – a truly impressive tally!

“We had a great time at Wentworth. It was amazing to be at such a prestigious event, and to soak up the atmosphere,” said Paul. “It was great to meet so many people of different nationalities, and both Joel and I would love to do this kind of thing again.

“We pride ourselves on our ability to help absolutely anyone to play better golf. We were proud to get the call to give lessons at Wentworth during the BMW PGA Championship, as the European Tour at is the pinnacle of the game. And who knows – maybe next year we will play in the event itself!”
