Kempton Park Racecourse welcomes horses belonging to The Queen and Sir Alex Ferguson to its extra racing fixture tomorrow (Thursday).

The meeting has been transferred from the closed Great Leighs Racecourse in Essex.

The Manchester United manager's Aim To Achieve, which has yet to win in two attempts to date, runs in the opening Garmin Sat-Nav Maiden Fillies' Stakes.

Half-an-hour later, there is a royal connection in the Day Time, Night Time, Great Time Conditions Stakes, with The Queen's runner Full Toss making his seasonal debut.

The racecourse's managing director Amy Starkey said: "We have plenty of horses running at Kempton Park which are owned by famous people. "It adds a spark to our racing, and occasionally they come along to watch - like Cold Feet actor James Nesbitt and Spurs defender Ledley King in recent times."

Admission is £15 at the gate on Thursday, and there is a fantastic value-for-money offer in the Panoramic Restaurant - admission and a two-course meal for £23. Bookings on 01932 753518 or email events.kempton@jockeyclubracecourses.com.

Gates open at 1pm for a first race time of 3.10pm, with the finale at 6.10pm.

Kempton Park is Europe's premier floodlit all-weather racecourse, with more than 90 fixtures every year.
