Former Glyn School pupil Matthew Threadgold won the U20 400m hurdles at the South of England Championships on Sunday.
Threadgold clocked 54 minutes, 53 seconds to take his first major title.
The Belgrave Harriers athlete received his medal from Olympic Champion Christine Ohuruogu’s coach Lloyd Cowan.
Epsom & Ewell Harriers’ veteran Julia Machin won the senior women’s high jump with 1.78m.
