Barnes had to settle with a draw in their Middlesex County League Division Three clash at Kenton who got to 230 runs after two in-form bowlers were struck by injury.
The setback was disappointing as off-spinner Rich Carroll was continuing his potent form with 2-16 before pulling up in his fifth over. Nick Trueman took 3-63 in a marathon spell.
They still managed to contain the home team, but the slow scoring rate combined with Barnes losing three early wickets ushered the game towards a draw.
Ed Craig (44) and Alex Scott (24) steadied the response but Barnes ended on 142-8.
