Golfers in the Croydon area can experience a taste of the Caribbean at Addington Court Golf Centre’s Caribbean Day on July 25 (noon), come rain or shine.

The centre hopes around 50 players will tee off on the 18-hole Championship Course in to the sound of a Caribbean steel band.

A Caribbean-themed barbecue will be laid on, along with a supply of punch, and there will be great prizes for all the winners.

There will also be a bouncy castle and face painting for the kids, plus free golf tuition for U18s.

The dress code is strictly golf or Caribbean, or a mixture of the two, and there will be a prize for the best Caribbean-dressed person on the day..

General manager Bradley Chard said: “We hope that the party will last well into the evening. It will be brilliant fun and we trust that our members and their guests will enter into the spirit of things.”
