Wimbledon moved up to third in the Surrey Championship Premier Division after a thrilling run-chase at Spencer on Saturday.
Victory looked a long way off when the Earlsfield-based club posted a daunting 284-7 from their 66 overs.
But, after Max Fernie was dimissed for 29, a second-wicket stand of 189 between Graham Grace and Richard Pudney took Wimbledon to the brink of victory.
Pudney hit three sixes in 106 before being dimissed before the end, but Grace saw the job through by carrying his bat for an unbeaten 134 to give his team an eight-wicket win.
At the halfway point of the season, Wimbledon are 15 points off the top.
But, with leaders Sutton up against second-placed Reigate Priory, they could make further in-roads when they face Banstead at Church Road on Saturday.
