Woodmansterne 2nd XI made the long trek to Churt, and under grey skies were put into bat after losing the toss.
Despite the conditions, the reliable opening pair of Hiren Patel and Graham Wilson continued their good form, Wilson in particular taking on the bowlers from the outset with a succession of boundaries.
After reaching their 4th consecutive 50+ opening partnership, Wilson was enticed into one shot too many and was caught behind for a well made 37.
New man Matt Joyce continued where he left off last week, batting with composure and authority, oblivious to the sledging by Churt fielders.
After the loss of skipper Patel (21), the father/son combo of Mickey and Matt carried on the momentum before Matt Joyce was out LBW for 46.
His brother Robbie never quite settled and was out cheaply. Ross Jacobs smashed 3 quick boundaries before being bowled by spinner Askew. Mickey Joyce meanwhile plundered 4s and 6s on his way to a fine 66.
With useful contributions from the tail, Woods were eventually dismissed for a strong 247.
With constant light drizzle the Woods fielders knew it would be hard work in the field, and opener (77) didn't help matters by getting off to a flyer with several boundaries as the old ball idea failed once again.
Chamberlayne and Sims took the new ball and while they had their moments, wickets didn't fall. Sims was eventually rewarded for a fine first spell when the batsman nicked one down the legside to wk Matt Joyce.
At the other end Mistry was introduced to try to change things but despite beating the edge on occassions, and a couple of half chances on the boundary, no wicket was taken. Jacobs bowled with enthusiasm, his self-acclaimed 'feather-minx' did beat the batsmen numerous times but kept narrowly missing the stumps.
Chamberlayne picked up 3 wickets and G Sims one more, as Churt's chase looked to stutter at one stage, Ingram claiming 2 more catches in the process.
However a couple of half-chances weren't taken and Churt claimed victory with 3 balls left.
