Croydon's young tennis stars narrowly missed out on first place at the London Youth Games finals last week.
Chris Maguire, Issac Stoute, Yusef Stoute, Charlotte Nutting and Tara Mani-Lunde finished second behind Bromley, earning the borough 46 points and helping them to ninth overall.
Team manager Terry Cooper said: “The team did well and I’m really proud of them.
"We’ll be back next year looking for gold.”
Croydon's only victory came in the male disability athletics, while they were also second in the female disability athletics and diving and third in angling and male swimming.
