Ashford endured mixed fortunes in their set of matches last week.

Wed 15th July MIXED MATCH MEADHURST 84 v ASHFORD 72

Although both sides won two rinks each, Meadhurst managed to get the higher total score to win the match.

Ashford were in the lead all the way upto the nineteenth end and then produced an unbelievable collapse to lose the game during the last two ends played.

Ashford's best rink were R.Odell, R.Jones, R.Searle, G.Aylott who won 20 - 14.

Thu 16th July LADIES' MATCH HAMPTON 56 v ASHFORD 45

This was the Ashford Ladies first ever visit to Hampton.

It was a match which Ashford will prefer to forget as they were leading half way through the match but eventually lost by eleven shots overall. Ashford had one winning triple to Hamptons two winning triples.

Ashford's winners were A.Anderson, T.Harries, J.Adams with a score of 26 - 7.

THAMES VALLEY LEAGUE MATCH ASHFORD 5pts v EGHAM 5pts

The Ashford and Egham men fought tirelessly to the bitter end of a rain soaked evening with neither side coming away with a win.

At Egham the result was one win for Ashford and one win for Egham and the same result at Ashford meant that both sides get five points each.

The game was in fact so close that even the total score was even. Ashfords top scorers were D.Ayton, A.Reason, D.Coleman with a 27 - 12 win.

Sat 18th July MEN'S & LADIES' MATCH ASHFORD 122 v SUNNINGDALE 97

Ashford dominated the match winning four rinks to Sunningdales two rinks. Ashford were nine shots ahead half way through the match.

Sunningdale then put up a fight back for a few ends only to see Ashford finish very strongly for the last five ends. Ashford top rink were J.Gammon, T.Stroude, A.Syrett, A.Wood Jnr. with a 31 - 12 victory.
